The game is the blend of an adventure and point-and-click games and puts the player in the role of the protagonist, who is capable of exploring the environment and interacting with non-player characters. The game is the 8th title in the series of King’s Quest and serves as the first title in the main series where the protagonist is neither King Graham nor a member of his family, as well as the first game to use the 3D engine, rather than 2D Cartoon-style or Pixel Graphic like previous titles.
